Details

Buttercup Tortoise House is both tortoise and keeper friendly

Features:

  • Access: One roof side is hinged for access.
  • Doors: Double doors, both securable.
  • Ventilation: Breather is set into the top of the back gable. Removable and adapted to accommodate a power cable
  • Floor: Solid thick MARINE grade ply, so impervious to wee.
  • Damp: The house stands on 10cm legs with damp proof feet.
  • Insulation: The back gable, side walls, floor and roof are insulated as standard.
  • Draught Curtains: Heavy-duty clear strip curtains, gives protection without diminishing natural light.
  • Ramp: Provides a leg up.
  • Lamp: The height allows for the installation of a heat lamp. To facilitate the cable and plug, we cut a cable port into the back ventilation cover.
  • Delivery: The house is delivered fully built, and ready to use.

Please Note:

The timbers used are pressure treated prior to building so well protected against rot. However, we strongly recommend that your housing is treated at least once yearly with our water repellent, animal safe, timber treating overcoat. This forms an invisible, water repellent layer over the house, so lessening the moisture uptake that in time could promote timber decay.
