With the right treatment, the bamboo screen will last years. It is recommended that the screens are installed a few inches/cms off the ground to help prevent rotting at the base. For long term preservation the screens should be treated with a wood preserver after 12-18 months of weathering – restoring the colour of the bamboo and providing further protection following the weathering.
