Details

Designed to support minibeasts' teaching on the primary school curriculum, this impressive habitat provides a home for pollinators, beneficial insects, mini mammals and hedgehogs—a stunning addition to any school wildlife garden.

Starting at the base, we have a Hogitat or hedgehog shelter. This provides hedgehogs with protection from predators and garden tools such as strimmer’s, mowers and forks.

The three different types of log habitats are good for beneficial insects such as ladybirds, lacewings, and pollinators such as solitary bees.

  • The small, specially designed holes are ideal for solitary bee occupation
  • The larger holes will provide homes for additional beneficial insects
  • The slot logs are good for lacewings and provide crevices for overwintering insects

The crittacabin is finished with the addition of natural pine cones and re-cycled plastic fixing points on the reverse to allow the habitat to be secured in place for child safety and school security.
