Details

This floating duck nesting box will create a lovely feature on your pond or lake and provide a safe place for your wild ducks such as Mallards or Moorhens or domestic ducks such as Call Ducks or Campbell ducks to sleep or sit on their clutch of eggs.  This duck house is suitable for a pair of ducks so up to two ducks.

Our floating duck nest box is supplied fully assembled and comprises a nest box which measures 22" high, 27" x 27" (including the roof overhang) and 17" x 17" (not including the roof overhang) The float measures 30" x 30".  It is manufactured from quality 12mm pressure treated Redwood Shiplap and strongly constructed framework from treated square smooth edge.  This duck house is easy to clean by simply lifting the duck house off the floating platform.

It is important to ensure the duck house stays away from the banks and away from predators so we recommend either anchoring the duck house in the middle of the pond or lake or tethering it to two opposite banks of the pond.

Choose either our anchor fixing to attach a rope and a heavy object to the other end to act as an anchor or our tethering kit to tie the duck house to the banks.

To help the ducks or their ducklings get on and off the floating platform, we recommend adding the landing platforms which act as steps which will sit flush with the water level.
