Dovecote Nestbox - This is our latest decorative bird nestbox for small birds in the style of a traditional dovecote.
The roof has handmade timber shingles with topped with a white finial. The flat-backed nest box body is painted in white with black steel hoops around.
The box has a keyhole slot for hanging and an opening back for annual cleaning of the nest box. The design is strong and sturdy and made of timber. It may be painted annually to maintain tip-top appearance.
Ideally you should situate your Dovecote Nestbox so that the hole faces north north-east away from the prevailing weather conditions. The box is suitable for small hole nesting species such as blue tits.
